DTV Newsletters have always been very colourful, not to mention very hard work .So was reay glad when3 other members helped me build this one after a long time since we have communicated with you. I would like to thank Divya, CB and a unnamed member who contributed to this newsletter.
The theme as you can see is Valentines Day which is on February 14th, just a few days ahead. Valentines Day surely denotes the universal lovers day as history would note, but while creating this newsletter someone mentioned to me DTV has a good amount of members who are between 13-18 as well, and for them lovers or romance may not yet be a serious issue. Well, the way i see it , St.Valentine supposedly created a union or a bond among several men and women / young boys and girls . So we DTV'ians can surely celebrate this BOND , the closeness we already have and hope that this bond gets even stronger in days to come.

Become a Forum Admin
Keeping with our tradition , we continue to bring new options for our members to interact better among each other and continue to show their love for your favourite TV stars/ Artistes and shows etc.   
DTV FanClubs is your chance to become a Forum Admin. We Instead of keeping the division in the forums just limited to TV Channels or Topics, We feel you can now communicate among each other based on the Theme of TV Stars you like most. Say for example you are a Shamit Tyagi Fan you can join the Shamit Tyagi Fan Club which has a bunch of other Shamit Fans already discussing or sharing pictures of him, his performances etc. Or if you feel there should be a Fan Club for Gauri Pradhan-Hiten Tejwani which is not there and you feel there can be several other fans for that Jodi , you have the option , just by being a member od DiscussTV to create a Forum dedicated to them and become it's Admin and Appoint your Own Moderators and accept memberships.  

How to Create /Join a FanClub

• To create your FanClub simply click HERE
• If you wanna see first what other FanClubs are there , visit this page and look out for the JOIN link /button.
• If you are joining some existing FanClub , you might have to wait till the admin of that Fan Club approves you .
• If you are the Admin , remember to occassionaly check for Members Awaiting Approval.
• Steps after creating a Fan Club - You might be asked to give a Description and you also have a option for having you own logo . If you already have a logo , you can simply use it in the Logo URL in Team Settings . To have your own colored skin , just drop a PM to Admin .
• Once that is done, remember to go to the Forum Settings option to create your own Forum inside the FanClub settings.
• You can also appoint a Co-Leader ( Moderator) to help you with the various administrative duties. try sharing as much power with him/her , it might help you run the forum easier.
• Remember to Invite via PM or any way you choose at least 10 members in your cerated fan Club, so that it becomes active.
  

Points to Remember
We udnerstand that this is a new option so if you ever need any help with this , first check out this Guide . If you still need help, PM the SuperMods or Admins or even the Mods but in that order .  
We want the FanClubs option to be useful and real fun . But at the same time , people do not feel very happy with FanClubs where nothing gets updated or happpens. So try to keep your FanClubs regularly updated , invited newer members, promote your FanClub , using Signatures, posting new Articles or Pictures and Signatures or Wallapers on the Stars . We already are recieving some feedback about not allowing multiple FanClubs on the same Star , but we have not kept any restriction. But idealy the fanClubs better be on just Stars and not TV Show wise . But its all open to discussion.    

One of the most shocking news in the Television world would probably the death Kuljeet Randhawa , of Special Squad and Kohinoor fame. She was also a star in older shows like Cats, Hip Hip Hooray. Speaking of Cats, her Co-Star in that show Nafisa Joseph also comited suicide few years back. Police are however hunting for her current co-star Bhanu Uday, read more about it here.
Valentine's Day special STAR Movies has lined-up six romantic flicks on the occasion of Valentine's Day. Beginning from 9.00 a.m. in the morning, the first is the Vanessa Williams-starrer, The Courage to Love followed by Oscar Award winner Nicholas Cage in Wild at Heart. 1.30 pm is time for the Preacher's Wife starring Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston while 4.00 pm will see Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp ignite the screen with Chocolat. 6.30 pm is time for the hilarious comedy What Women Want starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt while 9.00 pm prime time will see the premiere of Indian English film, American Desi.
On this Sunday, do not miss Simi Garewal's return with the Rendezvous with Simi Garewal on Star World.

 
Several new seasons of various tv shows are coming up or just started.
Star World probably leads the way with Charmed - the story of 3 Haliwel sisters, The Orange County (O.C.) and Northshore , which by the way is almost like the Hotel Kingston , which used to come on Star One.  Another major mega serial is due to star anytime , which is The General Hospital, which has had rave reviews after running successfully in the USA and i believe almost everyones favourite Desperate Housewives Season 2 will be starting in March . I have seen some videos from the official website and its great like season 1.
