Kimi Raikkonen got his Ferrari debut to a perfect start with a splendid victory in the Australian Grand Prix leading from pole to finish.
Alonso who switched to McLaren crossed the line second. But probably it was Lewis Hamilton making his F1 debut for McLaren steal the limelight, crossing the line third.

Lewis Hamilton - quite a revelation yaar!
who would have imagined a rookie leading the world championship in the preasence of Alonso and Kimi
Anyways, looking forward to my favourite circuit of the tract - everyone loves Monaco :D

Yeah.... Hamilton is a surprise package!
Monaco is a tricky circuit! Not many cars finish the race! Very little or no scope for overtaking.
Grabbing the pole gives you the edge.

Monaco Grand Prix:
McLaren's Fernando Alonso won a battle with team-mate Lewis Hamilton and grabbed a victory in the Monaco Grand Prix.

Canadian Grand Prix:
Lewis Hamilton led from pole to finish to secure his first ever Grand Prix win at Montreal Canada GP in just his sixth race! Nick Hiedfeild in the BMW secured the second place while Alexander Wurz in the Williams took the last podium place.
Only twelve cars managed to finish the race with four interventions by the safety car. That included Fisichella and Massa being disqualified for leaving the pit lane while a red light was showed.

US Grand Prix:
It seems to be a battle among the McLarens this time around!! With the other teams not matching the times being set by them, the McLarens hooked on to yet another 1-2 in the qualification round of the US Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton edged out Alonso to secure his second consecutive pole!

US Grand Prix:
Not much of a difference in the final results. Hamilton fended off a move or two by Alonso and cruised to his consecutive win that gave the McLaren yet another 1-2 finish. Massa took the final podium place while Kimi Raikkoneon took the fourth place. Hamilton extended his lead to 10 points over his nearest competitor and teammate Alonso.
The tie now heads to Europe.

Well, therez always an update on their break up n patch up relationship!

Turkish Grand Prix:
Fillepe Massa led from pole position to finish to win the Turkish Grand Prix ahead of teammate Raikkoneon.
Hamilton seemed on course for a third place until his right front tyre fell apart with around 15 laps to go. That enabled Alonso to slip by into third place and left Hamilton in fifth behind Nick Heidfeld. Alonso thereby reduced Hamilton's lead to 5 points.

Yeah... The next race is surely gonna be fast n interesting. I feel Ferrari, McLaren n BMW to be among the front runners. A good qualification spot is a must or else one might land up behind a slow car.
(.. And my dp is my sign!

The Spygate Row:
McLaren have been stripped of their points in the constructors championship after the outcome of the much in debate,
spygate row. With that outcome, Ferrari are almost certain to win the constructors title this year.
Although Alonsr and Hamilton have not been stripped off any points. So their title race is very much on!!

i saw the whole thing
spa has always given exciting races - with lots happening at the first corner and pile-ups galore
however, except for that one incident where alonso pushed out hamilton in the first corner - the rest of the race was BORING
the FIA should do something so that we get to see more crashes!
rey619
Sep 30 2007, 04:26 AM
More of crashes?

Thats a unique concept!!
Japnese Grand Prix:Lewis Hamilton took a huge step towards becoming the first man to win the title in his first season with a sensational victory in wet conditions in the Japanese Grand Prix. Heikki Kovalainen of the Renault took the second place followed by Kimi Raikkoneon in the Ferrari.
Fernando Alonso in the other McLaren, Hamiltons main threat to the title, crashed out of the race. The race now moves to China where Hamilton can wrap things up if he finishes better than Alonso or loses not more than a point!!
rey619
Oct 7 2007, 10:41 AM
Hamilton could have wrapped up the world title in the Chinese Grand Prix but ..........
Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen turned the Formula One title battle into a three way fight down to the wire with victory in the Chinese Grand Prix today after McLaren's Lewis Hamilton skidded out on his way to the pits.
Fernando Alonso finished second to cut the championship lead to 4 points! Fillepe Massa in the other Ferrari notched the third place.
Well, the next grand prix at Brazil may very well witness the most interesting battle in recent F1 history! Its always been tricky there!
now this was fun

wet tracks always have a lot of action
my choices for the championship are
#1 hamilton
#2 raikonnen
whatever the outcome, lets hope for an exciting race at interlagos!
rey619
Oct 22 2007, 07:45 AM
It was an action packed race at Interlagos and the championship landed into the hands of the driver who was least expected to win it! Ferrari's Iceman Kimi Raikkoneon!!
Things changed after Kimi Raikkoneon overtook Hamilton at the start of the race and closely fought woth teammate Massa. Hamilton faced some problems with the car and slid to 18th place. Then on fighting from there Hamilton eventually finished seventh. Alonso drove consistently to grab the third place. Kimi after his second pitstop took over the race lead from Massa then on to finish the race in the first place, ahead of Hamilton in the Driver's standing by 1 point!!
Thats not the end yet ..... some investigations / hearing on fuel related irregularities found in BMW, Williams team delayed the declaration of the actual winner! The two teams had drivers finishing in the 4-6 places! Disqualification of the drivers could give Hamilton the 4th place and enough points to win the championship! But there was no punishment as such and Kimi could carry on with the celebrations!
But again McLaren have contested against the same ...so ...... time will tell!

either ways
i am happy!!
For next season:
Need to see where Alonso ends up (mostly back in Renault)
Kimi, Nico and Heikki and also Vettel n Nick are the men to watch out for...I think the Scandinavians are going to rule F1 (there were also talks of Mika coming back into the McLaren team)
