The Cricket World Cup is here

and with it comes shiny new ads with cricketers, lot of hype, new heroes, shatterred dreams and most importantly the new Dtv Skin

The final is to be held on the 28th of April - the length of the tournament has increased over the years and the format this year has stretched the WC over 45 days. The first edition of the WC lasted only 5 days - things have really changed over the years.

The format too has changed over the years with this year seeing a "Super Eight" stage in place of the earlier "Super Six"
The Mascot for this event is Mello - your freindly neighbourhood orange coloured meerkat

The World cup has already seen a lot of action...
Herschelle Gibbs hit six sixes in one over against the Netherlands, the first player to do so in an internationlal One-day
Mark Boucher scored the fastest World Cup fifty (off 21 balls) against the Netherlands.
And India hit 413-5 in 50 overs against Bermuda, the highest team score in cricket World Ccup history.

I was supporting Pakistan, though I knew they werent going to go much far...so now I support South Africa and West Indies. No Australia this time...coz no Brett Lee

But I don't care if SA or WI loses.

More information: The World Cup got over about seven months ago and Australia won the title for the 4th time !!

Well you are supporting to West Indies but I support to Pakistan and I Pakistan will win this 2007 cricket world cup because of it is very strong team.

Cricket World Cup 2007 was very interesting because Australia has won this World Cup and this is my all time favorite cricket team
