Is there any threat to India's security due to sale of F16 to Pakistan? Should we buy arms from US? Are they reliable suppliers? Don't you think they are trying to get double advantage of this situation by offering Pakistan their old F16 and keep it with them and offering India more hightech and expensive weapons for more arm business.
I think if India really want to buy F18s from USA than it can put one offer to Lokheed Martin that we will buy 126 fighters from you only if you will not supply F16s to Pakistan and if you will supply F16 we will not buy any weapons from you till Pakistan will have your F16s. As whole world knows that India is going to spend billions for defence in near future and its growing economic power is also forcing it to spend more on defence to secure its borders so I don't think any company will like to be black listed on Indian list in such a good profitable time while everyone knows that Pakistan has no economic power to afford what India can.
So what do you guys think about this ???

india shouldn't give more heat to the offers given by US this will not be good for india's foreign policy and in future india wouldn't b able to oppose the reforms done towards pakistan

pakistan buying F-16s would be of no harm to india as such... because india has Su-30MKI which is far more superior than the F-16s...as was accepted by the USAF during the joint exercise with the IAF during Cope India 04 held at Gwalior.the sukhois are considered among the best combat aircraft in the current scenario. though russia wouldn't sell us the advanced Su-35&37 so early...as also the fifth generation aircraft such as the Su-S 37 Berkut and also Su-27Flanker...so no cause of worry for the IAF and the Govt.of India.

Ya.Nothing to worry. The thing to worry is the way these two countries have depleted their resources with haevy expenditure on the defence sector. These two figure in the list of the few nations who have made atom bombs, but ironically they are still developing countries.
What others have spent for building infrastructure, roads etc...these two have spent them on weapons with a sense of sheer suspicion about each other.

Just another fact...
India's defence expenditure is 2.5% of India's GDP
Pakistan spends 5.5% of GDP on defence

any countries defence expenditures is always the highest . Be it USA , China, India or Australia . And more the country is economically prospering , more the reason for it to think of its security . We do not live in the ages of Gandhi. Especially for a country like India , who has always been in the eye of foreigners , invading india it is not surprising . India does not need to curtail its defense expenditures , in order to provide more funds towards Education .... believe me . Removal of corrupt politician and workers in itself will provide much need funding .

no need for F16 as they even dont match up to sukhoi 30 MKI
as for future transactions with US r concerned they can just go to hell
they know they r power to reckon with on the intellect of some indians, israelis n other who work for them as they dont hav that talent at home they also undermine the human resource power of developing countries like india n china
if we hav to invest money we should try to buy f-23 or SU-35/37 as they r meant for future warfare
india can also invest in making a state of art aircraft to answer f 23 su35 as we indians hav repeatedly proved that we can do i mean anything with our intellect hardwork n expertise in the field of education

Alright BUDGET allocation for education should be more
but we lost war with china in 1961 coz we ware not prepared.
even shose & socks also imported.
"AHINSA-VAD" also the reason.
you know we don't want any country's land.
may be we never start war first ?
we have also policy of "NO FIRST USE NUKES"
(COMMENT ON THAT GUYS)
If first use F-16 (& nukes) against india
do you know what will that situation?
